OUR HISTORY

Te Atatu Memorial RSA was first formed as a sub branch of the Western Suburbs Returned Services Association in 1959. Fortnightly social evenings for members were held in the Tennis Pavilion on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month.

In 1969 land for a new Clubrooms was approved by the Waitemata County Council. The club building was completed and officially opened at the end of that year. A liquor licence was granted in 1972 thus ending the antiquated locker system that had sufficed till then.

In 1999 a major refurbishment commenced and included the absorption into the RSA the area of the building that had then been occupied by the Bowlers. In 2002 a dining room was added to the main building.

Today the RSA provides modern inviting facilities for all members to enjoy. The Club continues to maintain a very supportive profile in helping to meet the welfare needs of its members and retains an active status in our community.

OUR FUTURE

Looking into the future Te Atatu RSA.

The aim is to keep in tune with what the community needs, this will be from giving grants to schools or speaking to schools concerning Anzac Day.

Our dynamics are to listen and create the requirements for the future and by doing this maintaining a high standard.  A place members and guests can feel they belong and enjoy the safe surroundings.
